Finding Emily

Beyond the doorway, brilliant colour caught my eye and I headed there like a bee to a flower. The brushstrokes, the colours, the energy drew me in. If this had been the only painting I saw at the Art Gallery of Ontario, I would have been satisfied.

Not sure why but when I paint with acrylics I paint in a completely different style. It always surprises me.
Lovely day for a walk in the village. Spring is definitely flirting with us. I hope she’s here to stay. I’m looking forward to getting into the garden and doing some fun things to decorate the outside of the studio this season.
Painting of my dad and his first car is almost complete. Now, if I can just figure out how to do his face. The medium I’m using won’t allow fine detail so my choices seem to be markers or embroidery.
I offered a sneak peek a few days ago, and today I’m ready to share.
