The sunsets here on the Bay of Fundy are spectacular, especially in the summer. It’s not unusual to see photographers lined up on the wharf, their cameras aimed at the lighthouse for that perfect shot. I’m certainly not immune to the lure of a beautiful sky and my neighbours are used to seeing me rush down to the shore, camera in hand.
This painting was done in the ‘notan’ style, a Japanese word meaning light and dark.
