Stones are one of my favourite subjects because of the variety and stories they hold. The beaches in my part of Nova Scotia are mostly covered in cobblestone so I never run out of subject material. In fact, it’s hard to believe that some of the colours and patterns occur naturally. There’s always something different to see on my walks along the shore.
This original watercolour comes mounted on a gallery panel, ready to hang. The 6×6 size is also just right perching on a shelf.
The finish on this original watercolour is a translucent compound of wax and resin that acts as a protective matte topcoat. Together they seal and provide UV protection without compromising the original colour and eliminates the glare of glass between you and your painting.
