Sometimes it's a good idea to say yes when something out of the ordinary comes along and figure out what you'll do with the opportunity later. Inspiration can't be rushed.

Finding the Joy Again
I baked a cake from scratch this week and in the process, I learned something important about why I love making art. One thing that changes everything for me.
Playing With Oils
I'm obsessed with getting out to the studio to play with a new-to-me medium - oils. I love the buttery way they spread and blend on the canvas. I love the richness of the colours. There's an element of freedom with them that I have been missing.
Why Nature Inspires Me
Nature is my inspiration. My art is a way to capture the awe and wonder I feel and to share that with others so that more of us "stop to smell the roses".
Honouring Dad
Dad loved to drive. In fact, I was a married adult before I realized that some people just stayed in one place for a vacation. Dad earned his living as a truck driver and when he retired he bought an RV. He and mom travelled around North America. An art quilt featuring him with first vehicle seems a fitting way to honour his memory.
